Newly-promoted Bradford City FC has awarded a five-year, £1.4 million catering concession to Lindley Venue Catering – the specialist sports catering division of The Lindley Group – which will manage all of the public matchday catering at the 25,136 capacity Coral Windows Stadium from the start of the new season.
Under the newly struck deal, Lindley Venue Catering re-launched the retail catering on the public concourse in readiness for the Bantams first match on home turf as 2013-14 Football League 1 contenders on 10 August.
A selection of Lindley’s award-winning branded retail concepts, including Franks’ Original New York Streetdogs, The Pie Factory and Flaming Good Burger (FGB) outlets are being installed as part of the new food offer.
The appointment further consolidates The Lindley Group’s presence in Yorkshire where Lindley Venue Catering has already secured a number of long-term catering contracts including Rotherham FC, Doncaster Rovers FC, Sheffield Wednesday FC and John Smith’s Stadium (Huddersfield) while sister division, Lindley Heritage, manages the catering at the Hepworth Wakefield.
David Baldwin, Director of Operations at Bradford City FC, says: “The club’s promotion to League 1 has provided us with an ideal opportunity to review our catering services and we believe Lindley Venue Catering is best placed to help us to improve and develop the food offering for our fans and away visitors on matchdays. They have a strong infrastructure and resource pool in Yorkshire and being established in the region has given them a good feel for local preferences and tastes.
“We unveiled the new retail facilities and food offering to our fans as we embarked on our foray into League 1 at the start of the season.”
