Liz Hartstone HRES FIH and Vandana Dass FIH have joined the Institute of Hospitality’s Board of Trustees.
Welcoming both to the Board, the Institute’s CEO Robert Richardson FIH MI commented: “I am delighted that Liz and Vandana have accepted the roles, and I am confident they will add tremendous value to the Institute’s Board of Trustees as we push forward with our aspiration to gain Chartered Status in the coming months and years.
“They join an exceptionally strong and talented team of existing board members and, under our new chair, Martin Traynor OBE FIH MIoD, I am excited that together, we will be able to move the Institute forward and add greater value for our members, thanks to their support, passion and experience.”
Echoing those sentiments Traynor commented: “I am delighted to welcome both Liz and Vandana to our Board of Trustees, as we look to strengthen the team and broaden the diversity of representation from across our membership base.”
Liz Hartstone who was Chair of the Institute’s internal Nominations Committee for the last four years, is an experienced hospitality recruiter with over 30 years’ experience in senior search assignments. A Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality since 2001 and a former mentor for Oxford Brookes undergraduates, she launched Liz Hartstone Executive Search in 2013 and subsequently partnered with Guillaume Rochette to create Hartstone Rochette in 2018.
Hartstone confirmed: “Over the past 20 years I have enjoyed my three-terms on the Institute’s Nominations Committee, and I am delighted and honoured to now support the IoH as a Board Trustee. I look forward to working with my fellow Trustees as we continue to endorse the great work of Robert and his team.”
Vandana Dass, Managing Director of Davenport Solicitors, is also an active, long standing supporter of the Institute, and will now bring essential legal expertise to the Board.
Speaking about her appointment Dass added: “I am truly honoured to serve as a Board Trustee. Being part of the Board is not just a role; it is a commitment to fostering excellence in our industry, empowering future leaders, and shaping the standards of hospitality for generations to come.”
Davenports Solicitors was established by Dass in 2013 and provides a one stop legal HR service to businesses, which is affordable and accessible: advising them on contracts of employment, policies, employment disputes, sponsorship licences, setting up a UK business in the UK and related visas.
