SOMA, a minimalist speakeasy from Kricket co-founders Rik Campbell and Will Bowlby, opened its doors in Canary Wharf last week alongside their latest Kricket restaurant.
After making a splash on Denman Street in Soho in September 2021, SOMA quickly earned widespread acclaim, culminating in its win for Best Bar at the GQ Food & Drink Awards in April 2022.
The latest iteration, SOMA 2.0 brings the spirit of Soho’s vibrant nightlife to London’s newest dining destination. Named after the Hindu Moon God, the bar offers a menu of drinks inspired by the diverse flavours of the Indian subcontinent and surrounding regions. SOMA captures the spontaneity of the city, welcoming walk-ins until the early morning hours, with a limited number of reservations available.
The menu, crafted by Kricket’s Head of Beverage Will Rogers and his team, follows a ‘less is more’ philosophy, highlighting seasonal ingredients and high-quality spirits and spices. Firm SOMA favourites remain on the menu alongside new and exclusive additions.
